My Personal Philosophy

Every morning I wake up with one purpose only, to do Divine will. I open these crystal blue eyes, get on my knees, and bring my palms together at my third eye center. My heart overflows with utter love and devotion. I can’t wait to get to know my true self and higher power more intimately throughout the day. Every day I pray that I may be taught how to open up the gateway of my heart so I can see, think, and love the way that God does. I pray that I may get out of my own way so the divine order can flow entirely through my being.

I believe there is a power in me, but not of me- which is the creator of the Universe. I did not create myself, my mother did not create herself. There is something greater that created all of life. Just like a mother miraculously births a child through the inter-dimensional portal of her womb- source energy magically created every sentient being through the womb of the cosmos. Every aspect of the Universe is one with this supreme being, because they are it embodied. Most humans don’t realize this because there is so much plaque over their consciousness that has blinded their spiritual sight. There is a sort of sleeping disorder within the human consciousness- a wise woman once called it ‘the sleep apnea of the soul’. Humans forget who they are in truth when they incarnate into bodies. They adopt and identify with a fear-based consciousness. This is passed down from the collective psyche of the world. We are all super heroes that have forgotten our super powers. Imagine wonder-woman or spider-man incarnating to the planet with self-doubt, not ever knowing that they are here to save the world. Imagine how much aversion these super hero would have if they couldn’t be who they were meant to be. No wonder we have so much self loathing, this forgetfulness is the collective sate of humanity! We are all superheroes, we just need to tap into our power source so we can embody our full potential. Every time we remember that we are not alone, we tap into our super powers. Every time we make the conscious choice to rely on a strength greater than our own, we are remembering our Self.

The reason humanity has forgotten it’s true self is because of the universal law of cause and effect.(aka karma) The law of cause and effect says that everything that goes out will come back around, no matter what the vibration underneath is. In ACIM it states, “Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists, here lies the peace of God.” In the reality that is beyond the physical senses, only love is real. The darkness of the world is not actually real, it is a sort of hallucination of separation that humans created. Because humans have free will, we choose to separate ourselves from Creator, which is love. Separation is the root of all suffering. In ACIM it also states that we think we have many problems, but there is only one, our separation from God. Separation is fear, it is a mind-set of scarcity. It is believing that we are not enough, we do not have enough- and then we project lack towards the world and our fellows. A scarce mindset invokes a state of desperateness. As Marianne Williamson states ‘desperate people do desperate things’. People question the unconditional love of the Universe because there is so much darkness- but we must remember that darkness is a choice  we made because of freewill. When humans choose to separate from love they make loveless choices . How quickly we evolve and shift into a unified consciousness is our choice moment to moment. It is a merely choice to return to love. Choice is the greatest human freedom. While there are certain systemic limitations placed upon individuals, we can always choose to focus our awareness back towards who Divine would have us be. Inviting in Spirit is the first step to liberation. From there we open up a unlimited door of opportunities to ripen the darkness into light and possibilities. As the laws of physics state, energy can not be destroyed, only transformed.

Another universal truth is that that everything in the universe is interconnected because we all come from the same Source. We are the universe experiencing itself subjectivity. We are all a spark of Divinity expressing itself uniquely and creatively. The naked essence of this source is agape love. It is forgiveness, innocence, bliss, and sweetness. It’s only desire is for every being on this planet to be happy and live a rich existence. I believe  there is duality so we can constantly be reminded to return home to the true Self. Everything that is not love, is a call for love. There is no such thing as darkness, only an absences of light. You can’t escape the darkness by focusing on darkness. Darkness is only dispelled by turning on the light. Everything that is uncomfortable is a gift to remember who we are, and why we came here. I believe we suffer so we can learn how to humble ourselves and help one another. Maybe every ounce of pain is an opportunity we gain so we can rely on ourselves less and remember our interdependence? It takes a true break down to reach a place of humble vulnerability. In this space we learn how to open up our hearts authentically to our fellows. We learn how to connect and love from a deeper state of being. This is the tender beauty of pain.

My overall mission in life is to elevate, inspire, and empower beings. To invoke the awareness of who we are in truth by befriending the darkness. I desire to live from a remembrance that the human in front of me is the most important being on this planet (because they are). I believe the person in front of us is the greatest invitation to God. No matter if there is a downpour of light and expansiveness within the connection, or triggers galore and contraction, that being is teaching us how to open up and soften into intimacy.  Every day I yearn to feel the enthrallment of becoming more of my Self. To hold the intention of what I can bring to the world today instead of what I can get- no matter where I am or who I am with. There is nothing more uplifting to hold the question ‘how can I light up the world today’ in my heart . It is crucial to remember that sometimes lighting up the world means honoring the darkness and being transparent as the Caribbean ocean waters about the messiness we are feeling. Light doesn’t always look like rainbows and butterflies. As I mentioned earlier, love is bringing darkness to the light. Embracing the darkness is just as crucial as focusing on the light. The darkness is what gets me on my knees begging God to take over me please and is the bridge to the greatest joy in life, deeper intimacy.

My greatest wish for every being on the planet is for them to believe in themselves unconditionally. Not in their past, stories, or small self. But the big invisible super hero self that is always within waiting to be fully embodied. I’ll top this off with my favorite quote from Marianne Williamson, “”Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear in that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?Actually, who are you not to be?You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the World. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. As we let our own Light shine,we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
